PR Coordinator

The Syndicate, a bicoastal entertainment marketing agency, is seeking a publicity coordinator to join our team. This candidate must be able to multi-task, possess excellent writing and communication skills, and be a highly organized, motivated individual passionate about music, entertainment, and pop culture. The position is hybrid of remote and in-person in our Weehawken, NJ office.

Requirements: ­ ­

• 1-3 years experience in entertainment and music publicity at a record label or agency
• Passion for music, pop culture, writing, and attending live concerts/events
• Familiar with music and entertainment publications, podcasts, and regional outlets
• Excellent writing, copy-editing, time-management, and organizational skills
• Must be detail-oriented, innovative, resourceful, and have the ability to work independently
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Spanish a plus
• Based in the NYC area

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining relationships with journalists and photographers to secure earned editorial and tour press for clients
• Preparing press releases, monitoring media coverage, pitching stories, and coordinating interviews
• Assisting our national publicists, working closely with and managing PR interns and collaborating with the team to ensure campaign results are maximized
• Regularly attend meetings, live concerts, and other relevant industry events
